About the Sous Chef Role:

  • Full-time, salaried, Culinary management position, assisting in kitchen operations reporting directly to the Chef de Cuisine
  • Manages daily kitchen and culinary program execution with excellence
  • Train, mentor and develop the skills of all culinary team members alongside fellow Sous Chef and Chef de Partie(s)
  • Oversee the scheduling, hiring, and training of culinary Team Members
  • Demonstrate strong leadership through effective communication and management of line operations during service periods
  • Monitor daily kitchen cleanliness attacking any repair & maintenance concerns with urgency
  • Manage menu prep, par levels, weekly inventory and ordering ensuring there is never a shortage of product
  • Facilitate ongoing training and education of menu to both culinary and hospitality staff
  • Driving ongoing culinary team learning through regular engagement with our online learning system

 

Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • Previous full-service Culinary Management experience required
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Winning mindset and consistent attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills and team mentality required
  • Must possess a Guest-focused approach
  • Desire to learn and grow your career
  • Safe Food Handling Certification required

 

Sous Chef Earnings & Perks:

 

  • $50,000-55,000 (varies based on position & experience)
  • $5,000 Annual Bonus (earned quarterly)
